Weddings for Twelve Hundred
The Central Hall takes a reception of twelve hundred, or three hundred and sixty-four at round tables, and the principals sleep in the building where they celebrate.

MAYFAIR Convention is the collection's dedicated events house, standing at Jayadev Vihar in Bhubaneswar. Its Central Hall is the largest pillarless hall in the building and among the largest in eastern India, taking twelve hundred under a twenty-two foot ceiling; the Crystal Room beside it divides into two sections or opens as one for the mid-scale evening. Between the halls run pre-function corridors wide enough for a thousand guests to arrive at once. MAYFAIR Lagoon stands next door with its gardens and restaurants, larger parties staying there, and residents of the Convention use the Lagoon's pool, gym and jogging trail.

MAYFAIR Convention is a house that comes alive for the occasion. Guests arrive dressed for it, the talk rises as they gather, and when the doors open the whole room turns towards the stage. Later the Restobar glows under its crystal drop for the last unhurried conversations, and the gardens of the Lagoon wait just across the road.A house that comes alive for the occasion: the talk rising as guests gather, a whole room turned to the stage, and the Restobar glowing under its crystal drop for the last conversations.

View DetailsFor two thousand years Bhubaneswar has been a capital, of ancient Kalinga and now of Odisha. Hundreds of sandstone temples stand across the old city, the great Lingaraj among them, and the Jain caves of Udayagiri and Khandagiri were cut in the hills nearby before the Common Era.
It is at its most gracious in the cool months, October to February, when the days stay mild for the temples and the gardens.
Day trips and short drives from Bhubaneswar, with the travel time to each.

An 11th-century architectural masterpiece dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lingaraj Temple is one of Bhubaneswar’s most revered landmarks.

Established in 1932, the Odisha State Museum offers an immersive journey through the region’s rich artistic and cultural history.

Set amidst a natural forest landscape, Nandankanan Zoological Park is one of Odisha’s best-known wildlife destinations.

Dating back to the 1st century BCE, the Khandagiri and Udayagiri Caves were carved during the reign of King Kharavela as retreats for Jain monks.
